Policy & Additional Information

• All ages, including senior citizens, are welcome!
• Private lessons are taught in teacher’s home studio. Special rate is applied to the student’s home lessons
• There are sessions consisting of 4 or 8 lessons/month. Tuition for the following session is due in advance at the last lesson of the previous session.  Personal checks or cash are accepted. In the event of a returned check, a $35.00 fee is charged. Checks are payable to Damira Feldman
• For new student enrollment, registering for lessons at any time during a session is allowed—tuition will be prorated
• Please make a commitment to complete a session [4 or 8 lessons] as there are NO refunds. Lessons cannot be cancelled, only rescheduled. A rescheduled lesson cannot be rescheduled again
• Important to let teacher know 24 hours in advance for any schedule changes in order to fit in make-up lessons at those times. Otherwise the lesson will not be re-scheduled and the credit will not be applied to the following session period
• For lessons cancelled by the instructor, a make-up lesson is scheduled. If a make-up lesson is not an option, a credit is applied to the following session period
• Private lessons are scheduled around your holiday/summer/winter vacation trips. Let your teacher know your vacation dates before the holiday/summer/winter session begins & before payment
• Teacher reserves the right to dismiss a student immediately if the student is uncooperative in lessons, has acted out inappropriately toward the teacher or other students, or with no respect to the studio or the teacher’s home
• A tuned acoustic piano or a full-sized keyboard with weighted keys is essential for improving skills and providing motivation and success
• Bring a Friend and you will get one FREE thirty minute lesson if your friend takes the lessons for ONE full month.
• Assignments: A practice assignment will be given at each class to be completed for the next class. Student has an obligation to thoroughly prepare this material
• Student Recital Requirement: Performance in at least one student recital is required. The payment for the rent of the facility and rehearsal is equally divided between the parents of participating students
• Other Student Requirements:
• All electronic devises should be turned off before you enter class
• Please do not be late to the class. Arrive 3-5 minutes prior to the lesson time. Lesson times cannot be extended for students who arrive late. Students should be picked up promptly at the end of their lesson time 
• Please do not hesitate to ask all questions that may arise during the lesson
• No food and drinks allowed during the lesson
